President Trevor Bray and Membership Director Marina Scott are only too happy to chat to anyone interested in doing good in our community.
There are lots of good reasons to join Rotary and it can be different for everyone.
- To volunteer with like-minded people and do good in our community.
- To access interesting speakers and be informed on local and international issues.
- To share and grow our knowledge and skills.
- To socialise and meet new people.
Rotary is for anyone who wants to do good in our community and the world.
Much has changed over the years. Castlemaine Rotary now has equal gender representation and welcomes people from all backgrounds with a wide range of skills, knowledge and experiences.
Weekly meetings are held each Tuesday evening, 6pm for a 6.30pm start including dinner and a mix of speakers, vocational tours and social activities. Attendance is not mandatory, just come when you can.
We raise money through two major events – the Art Show in June and the Truck Show in November – and invest the funds raised back into community groups, welfare agencies, projects and youth scholarships. As part of an international organisation we also contribute to disaster relief and community development in overseas countries.

Rotary provides practical support to grow and strengthen our community and steps up in times of crisis such as the recent Harcourt bush fire.
