A very special FFF with a parting gift to Rotary Castlemaine from Scott Buchanan. Scott and partner are soon moving to coastal NSW. In the delightful ambience of the McClure household in Castlemaine’s northern reaches, this month’s FFF will be serenaded by Scott Buchanan’s Piano Bar presence. Relax and chat over a plate of lasagna and salad, with BYO drinks, with Scott tinkling the ivories in the background. It all sounds perfectly sophisticated and hedonistic! The evening will also support Winters Flat Primary School music program. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. |

Next Wednesday, the fun continues with our first Speed Dating Club Night — a serious, but fun, opportunity to get a better understanding of how this Club works. Sometimes it seems like there's a big black box and things appear magically from it, but the truth is that there's plenty of preparation and planning behind the scenes. It is really important that we have as many members as possible come along and join in and perhaps discover new ways they can help out! This session is not just for newer members! Members can tend to be pigeon-holed into certain roles, which can become boring and repetitive over time. This is a chance for long-time members to investigate new roles within your Club. If you're unfamiliar with how speed dating works, you get to spend a short time — about 10 minutes — with a Club leader to talk about their role in the Club. Then you move onto another Club leader to talk about their role, and so on. You will have the opportunity to rotate through two panels of four Club leaders across two speed dating sessions, with delicious Chinese food in between. We are meeting at Castlemaine Bowling Club, Berkeley St Castlemaine — a much better venue to conduct multiple conversations! Normal dinner fee applies, drinks from the bar. |
