Kindness is rewarded
When our hard working Rotarians sat down to enjoy a cool beverage following last year's show, two extraordinary stories emerged. Under the guise of entertainment, our Truck Show Director saw an opportunity to capture the local community's attention and help them understand the importance of this long running event to the trucking industry and how it benefits the community.

In an unexpected twist, the Kindness video was voted equal first at the Castlemaine Documentary Festival's LOCAL'S night. Jeromey Edwards drove to Castlemaine to see his rig feature on the big screen in front of a packed audience. "The Castlemaine Show never seems to end," he said afterwards. "I'm definitely coming for the convoy this year."

Kindness II
Our Truck Show Director found herself in a bit of strife recently and was saved by Gordon #legend who was setting off on a long haul to Brisbane. Stranded in Elmore and recognising a familiar red truck with the TT brand coming towards her on the highway, she did her best star jump maneuver madly waving arms overhead. Yep, a first time hitchhiker. Gordon was so impressed by her efforts, he pulled over and delivered her safely to Rochester. (He didn't stop laughing until Brisbane.)
